Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. O'Dell later became an anchor for morning news at WCBD TV and was an investigative reporter. O'Dell's articles in Charleston on how Charleston police acted in DUI cases in a manner that was lenient, resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter instruction for the state's authorities. It was reported that the Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years award in the entirety of South Carolina Media. O'Dell, after her stint at Charleston as a reporter and co-anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring into Access Hollywood where she is now a correspondent and co-anchor during weekends. Additionally, she is an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She co-hosted several of pre-shows and arrivals shows for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards.
